Aims & Scope

Acta Odontologica Scandinavica aims to disseminate new knowledge across all areas of oral health, oral disease, and biomaterials science. The journal publishes Open Access original research articles and critical state-of-the-art reviews relevant to: Priority is given to hypothesis-driven analytical studies and to experimental and observational investigations that address causal or associative relationships. Submissions are expected to demonstrate rigorous methodology and robust study design appropriate for testing the stated hypotheses. Short Communications and Letters to the Editor are also considered. Case Reports are not accepted.Intended ReadershipThe journal is intended for researchers and scientists in oral health and disease sciences, biomaterials science, and for oral healthcare professionals, including clinicians and allied dental personnel. Acta Odontologica Scandinavica publishes high quality original research papers as well as critical reviews relevant on diseases of the oral cavity, their treatment, epidemiology and associated biomaterials and their development.
