Aims & Scope
The American Journal of Psychoanalysis, founded by Karen Horney in 1941, is a peer-reviewed psychoanalytic quarterly that serves as an international platform for a broad spectrum of theoretical, clinical, professional, and cultural concepts in psychoanalysis. Has a prestigious history with more than 85 years in publication. Affiliated with the Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (AAP). Publishes original papers, brief communications, book reviews, film reviews, and special issues on single topics, and reports on the activities of the Karen Horney Psychoanalytic Center.
