Aims & Scope

Astrophysics and Space Science publishes original contributions and invited reviews covering the entire range of astronomy, astrophysics, astrophysical cosmology, planetary, and space science. This includes both observational and theoretical research and descriptions of ground-based as well as space instrumentation. Astrophysics and Space Science publishes the yearly Astronomy Prize Awardees Collection series. The journal welcomes data-driven publications such as descriptions of astronomical catalogs, software including simulations, and observational surveys. A top-rated Springer Nature journal, with 96% of authors having rated their experience as excellent or good. All papers published in the journal are subject to thorough and strict peer-reviewing. Astrophysics and Space Science features short publication times after acceptance. Also publishes topically selected special collections in research fields of particular scientific interest. Conference proceedings will not be considered.
