Aims & Scope
Korea Journal was published in 1961 with the goal of promoting Korean Studies around the world.It is the standard journal read by Korean Studies specialists around the world and is a must-read for anyone seriously interested in East Asian or Korean Studies. Submissions are solicited in all the social and human sciences areas, including history, literature, philosophy, art, economics, psychology, religion, political science, anthropology and sociology.However, in special issue, Korea Journal is focusing only on changes in modern and contemporary Korean society and its meaning. Korea Journal has been indexed inA&HCI(Arts and Humanities Citation Index) since 2001. It is also indexed in Scopus, MLA Directory of Periodicals, BAS (Bibliography of Asian Studies), and registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea.Korea Journal offers express review and publication and is provided as open-access to readers, making all research results freely available online. Korea Journal welcomes submissions of research articles and book reviews that present original research and make new contributions to the field of Korean Studies.Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Please submit your manuscript and a brief curriculum vitae directly by e-mail [email protected] articles should be written in English and be approximately7,000 to 9,000 words in length, including footnotes, references, abstracts, and keywords.Manuscripts of up to 10,000 words may be considered in exceptional cases.Book reviews should also be written in English and be1,500 to 2,000 wordsin length, including footnotes and references. A book review essay that reviews multiple books together should be approximately 5,000 words.All manuscripts should be submitted as an electronic file attachment inWord format only.Manuscripts must primarily follow theKorea Journal Manual of Style.For matters not addressed in this manual, authors should follow the latest edition ofThe Chicago Manual of Style(Univ
