The journal of the American Name Society, NAMES is one of the world's leading scholarly publications devoted to onomastic research. Since its very first issue in 1952, this quarterly journal has published hundreds of original articles, book reviews, and scientific notes devoted to investigating the intersecting cultural, historical, economic, psychological, literary factors related to names and naming in North America and around the world.
