Aims & Scope
Polish Journal of Paediatrics is a quarterly journal featuring experimental and clinical original papers, rare and challenging case studies, as well as the latest reports on health issues affecting children, new-borns and adolescents. The journal is aimed at medical doctors specializing in paediatrics, as well as other related areas: endocrinology, laryngology, genetics, cardiology, oncology, haematology, dentistry, surgery, gastroenterology, psychiatry, and psychology. We also publish review articles as well as recommendations, and therapeutic standards regarding vaccinations, nutrition, obesity, risks associated with alcoholism and drug addiction, as well as contemporary risks that affect the health of children and youth. We also address legal issues regarding the care provided for under-aged patients, as well as the rights and obligations of physicians and legal guardians. Authors of the papers published in Polish Journal of Paediatrics are researchers from leading clinical and academic centres. Articles submitted to Polish Journal of Paediatrics are initially checked by Section Editors and then evaluated in a double-blind peer review process. Articles in English are considered for publication. Polish Journal of Paediatrics is an official journal of the Polish Society of Paediatrics. It is one the oldest medical journals in Poland, the first issue was published in 1921. Between 1908 and 1920 it appeared under the name of Przegląd Pediatryczny .
