Aims & Scope

The journal publishes original contributions, in Italian and English, in its sections: reviews; original articles; clinical cases; brief communications. Reviews are considered for publication on specific topics provided they are comprehensive, focus on current topics, and make a new and original contribution to the knowledge of the subject. They must not exceed 45,000 characters, including spaces. Original articles of a clinical and/or experimental nature related to subjects of psychiatric interest are published. Studies that do not comply with the methodological, clinical-experimental, and statistical requirements accepted by international journals in the field will not be published. The presentation of data in original articles must conform to the methodology of presentation accepted in internationally distributed psychiatry journals (e.g., Archives of General Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry, British Journal of Psychiatry, and similar). Original articles must not exceed 40,000 characters, including spaces. Tables and figures should be reduced to the essential to make the text understandable. Clinical cases are published as single case reports (not exceeding 20,000 characters, including spaces) characterized by originality, clinical interest, and scientific novelty. Brief communications host short articles, around 10,000/12,000 characters, including spaces, and are also accompanied by summaries in Italian and English (approx. 500 characters).
