Aims & Scope

Ruch Prawniczy, Ekonomiczny i Socjologiczny (RPEiS) [Poznań Journal of Law, Economics and Sociology] is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic journals in Poland. RPEiS is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles in both Polish and English. Our primary goals are to assist researchers from Poland and abroad in disseminating the results of their research, and to promote the exchange of views and ideas within the international scientific community. We are particularly interested in texts dealing with global issues analysed from European points of view, including the European Union and national perspectives, as well as those that introduce regional, European, and national scientific problems and issues into the international scientific discussion. We prefer articles that have strong theoretical and methodological foundations in the legal sciences, economic sciences, and sociology, and which indicate the practical significance of their considerations or conclusions. In particular, RPEiS publishes research in the fields of civil, criminal, administrative, and constitutional law. In terms of thematic scope, the journal also welcomes texts on the theory and philosophy of law, sociology of law, law and economics, international law, and the legal protection of human rights. The economics section of RPEiS includes the following research areas associated with economics: the history of economic thought, economic and social policy, international economic relations, finance and insurance, sustainable development, and economic processes at the macro-, meso- and microeconomic levels, covering issues such as labour markets, the functioning of enterprises, and spatial and environmental economics. The sociological section of the journal publishes articles on social, cultural, technological and demographic transformations that have a decisive impact on the functioning of key social institutions, key public policies and the economy. Articles based on empirical research, as well as theoretical articles are welcome.
