Aims & Scope

About the Journal Focus and Scope Universitas Medica is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to disseminating research findings in the field of health sciences. Its objective is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of health care through the publication of high-quality articles aimed at professionals, educators, and researchers in medicine, nursing, and related disciplines, both nationally and internationally. The journal, published on a continuous basis, is a scientific dissemination outlet co-edited by Hospital Universitario San Ignacio and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. It considers original contributions for publication, including scientific research articles, systematic reviews, and integrative reviews that contribute to the consolidation of knowledge across the various fields of health sciences. Open Access Policy This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Universitas Medica does not impose article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, publishing charges, or embargo periods. All content is available in full text without restrictions.
