Aims & Scope

The University of Pittsburgh Law Review, founded in 1934, is the longest-standing publication of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. The first issue was published in 1936. It was 90 pages long and mostly contained student-authored commentaries on recent court decisions. The journal has grown to attract renowned and widely successful legal scholars from across the globe. Over the years, the journal has adapted to advancements in production and technology. Despite its evolution , collegialty remains a core value of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. With banquets and symposiums, journal members have always found ways to create community. This contributes to the journal's overall goals of publishing excellent academic scholarship and facilitating important legal scholarship.
