Aims & Scope
IEEE Transactions on Communications (TCOM) publishes high-quality papers reporting theoretical and experimental advances in the general area of communications. TCOM is committed to provide a timely and rigorous peer-review process for all submitted papers. TCOM has a broad scope spanning several areas such as wireless communications, wired communications, optical communications and quantum communications. For classical communication systems, TCOM main focus is on the physical layer, although papers on cross-layer design and networking are also welcome as long as the reported results are based on a realistic model for the physical layer. For quantum communication systems, TCOM welcomes papers in the broad area of quantum communications and quantum networks. Contributions in emerging areas such as molecular communications, THz-communications, wireless power transfer, massive MIMO, etc. are particularly welcome.
