Aims & Scope

Guidelines and PoliciesEthical Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Manuscripts Submitted and Published by JBCS Authors employing AI tools in the development of their manuscripts should disclose their use to maintain transparency and uphold ethical publishing standards. This disclosure may be included as a statement within the manuscript, specifying at which stage the AI was applied and for what purpose (e.g., language editing only, or analytical or generative tasks (generate scientific content, analyze data, or create figures/tables)). Also, a declaration regarding the use of AI tools is required during submission (ScholarOne system), specifying the use and informing tool/model employed. In all cases, the AI system is not an author; no confidential or personally identifiable data were provided to the tool beyond what is reported in the manuscript. Clear communication about the use of AI ensures trust and integrity in the scientific record.
