Aims & Scope

MoK is the Nordic Association of Conservators open access journal. The journal publishes original peer-reviewed papers on the conservation of cultural, natural and artistic works. Our aims are to promote collaboration and to share knowledge on scientific research and advances in conservation practice, methods and techniques between conservators in the Nordic countries as well as internationally. The journal accepts review and original research papers on preventive conservation, material science, conservation history, conservation ethics and advances in conservation practice, methods and techniques. A scientific content is not a prerequisite, and the editors encourage authors to submit practical papers on advances in conservation practice, methods and techniques to share knowledge between conservation professionals.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
