Aims & Scope
BIOMA is a national, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes significant and high-quality research with a focus on wide range of biosciences and biological dynamics in the Indonesian region. Indonesia represents a highly important tropical area for global biological research. Its geology, which comprises components of East Asian and Papuasian origins, with the Wallacea region positioned between them, has driven unique biological evolution. Consequently, advances in biological research in this region make a substantial contribution to the development of global biosciences. The journal welcomes contributions in diverse fields including biodiversity, biosystematics, ecology, physiology, behavior, genetics, biotechnology, microbiology, botany, zoology, virology, and human biology. By covering all forms of life, and life systems, BIOMA provides a comprehensive platform for scientific discovery, conservation, and sustainable management of biological resources.
