Aims & Scope
Acta Poética is a semiannual, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal, which publishes original and translated articles, notes, interviews, and reviews, written primarily in Spanish and other languages. Our publication belongs to the Center for Poetics of the Institute of Philological Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The purpose of Acta Poética is to offer an intellectual platform for scholars from national and foreign institutions and, with it, to contribute substantive reflections to the study of literature, literary criticism, and critical theory, on aspects of literature and other cultural expressions. Our journal is aimed at scholars of literature and other disciplines related to art, culture, and society. The content of Acta Poética reflects the diversity of the research lines of the Center for Poetics, within the inter- and multidisciplinary framework of critical theory: myth, semantics, semiotics, deconstruction, visual arts, rhetoric, poetics, reception theory, hermeneutics, literary criticism, comparative literature, cultural studies, mysticism, philology, the impact of new technologies on discourse, history of literature, cinema, photography, architecture, performing arts, music and its relationship with other disciplines such as philosophy, history, sociology, and political theory. Currently, the journal is published in print and digital format.
