Aims & Scope
Estudios Sociológicos de El Colegio de México is a journal whose purpose is to disseminate empirical research based on the adequate use of theoretical-analytical and conceptual approaches in sociology and related social science disciplines (such as political science and anthropology). It publishes original research presenting the highest quality research results, with an emphasis primarily on Latin America (in some cases or cases from the region), and from other parts of the world. Starting in 2024, Estudios Sociológicos transitioned to a continuous publication scheme to dynamize scientific communication and relevant debates in the social sciences field. The publication has three main sections: academic articles, research notes, and book reviews. The journal is continuously published in electronic format and is open access. The call for manuscript submissions is permanently open.
