Aims & Scope
Boletín de Arte is an annual academic journal published by the Department of Art History of the University of Málaga. It aims to disseminate and debate research in art history across all periods, as well as issues of art theory, aesthetics, and visual culture. It publishes original works that have not been previously published or disseminated in other journals, books, conferences, or seminars. The journal accepts proposals written in Spanish, English, French, or Italian. Titles, abstracts, and keywords for articles are also published in English. The journal is aimed at art historians, artists, architects, aesthetics specialists, researchers, and professionals related to the history, practice, and theory of art. It primarily features research articles, but also includes invited contributions in the "Contrastes" section, book reviews, exhibition critiques, and a "Varia" section. A new phase began in 2013 with a renewed editorial team and an advisory board composed of recognized specialists in art history, with over 50% of members from European, US, and Latin American universities.
