Aims & Scope

About the Journal About the Journal Established in 1980 the Technische Mechanik is a journal which publishes scientific papers from the entire field of mechanics; i.e. all branches of theoretical and applied mechanics including related fields of study. The journal Technische Mechanik publishes refereed original articles on Engineering Mechanics in its broadest sense. It is intended to provide a forum for a rapid transfer of research results to industry and science. In that sense contributions are encouraged which demonstrate the practical application of new results and scientific findings. General Terms The journal Technische Mechanik is an open access journal. All papers are available free of charge for download. Publishing of papers is free of any costs for the authors. Each submitted paper runs through a standard peer review process. Copyright Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis); that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities at the institute where the work has been carried out. The authors exclusively hold and retain the copyright of their papers. They grant the journal the non-exclusive right to publish the papers. The authors may decide to maintain the final published version and pre-review versions on non-commercial online archives, like institutional repositories that are operated by domestic and foreign universities and non-profit research institutions. However, the authors have to explicitly clarify the state of the document (i.e. pre-review or finally published version). All articles published in this journal are protected by copyright. No material may be reproduced or copied without prior written permission of the copyright holder, except for personal use only. A Word by the Editor Our journal
