Aims & Scope

The R&D Journal aims to advance the field of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating innovative and impactful research findings, fostering the exchange of knowledge and ideas among researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals. The journal welcomes original research articles and advanced applications (case studies) that contribute to the understanding and advancement of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, particularly in a South African context. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Advanced manufacturing processes and technologies Computational mechanics and simulations Materials science and engineering Energy systems and sustainability Biomechanics and biomedical engineering Mechatronic systems and applications Design and optimisation of mechanical systems Fluid dynamics and thermal sciences Robotics and automation Control systems and instrumentation The journal encourages submissions that explore new methodologies, present experimental and theoretical advancements, and demonstrate practical applications in the field. The journal aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by providing a comprehensive and inclusive platform, contributing to developing innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
