Travaux de l'Institut de Speologie Emile Racovitza
Editura Academiei Romane · Romania · Est. 1962
Aims & Scope
Travaux de l'Institut de Spéologie "Émile Racovitza" (abr. Trav. Inst. Speol. "E. Racovitza") has an annual appearance starting from 1962. Over the 46 years of its appearance (sometimes with gaps), the journal has established itself as a reference publication for research in the underground domain and the biodiversity of ecosystems developed on karst. Initially published under the editorship of Prof. C. Motaș, the journal continued the scientific line set by the scholar Emil Racoviță for the old series published under the title "Lucrările Institutului de Speologie din Cluj". The new series published in Bucharest continued the series of original publications by Romanian and foreign researchers, containing original contributions on the biology and geonomy of karst, descriptions of new species for science, systematic, biogeographic, and phylogenetic revisions, establishing the journal as a scientific publication indexed in international databases on the biological profile. This journal does not charge any fees. Travaux de l'Institut de Spéologie "Émile Racovitza" publishes fundamental and applied research articles in the speleological field, soil biology, and all aspects related to the ecology and protection of the karst environment.
