The journal covers issues in Medical and Health informatics, Biomedical informatics, System analysis, On-line databases, Classification systems, Medical documentation, Electronic Health Records, Clinical Decision Making, Artificial intelligence, Computer-assisted Learning, Distance Learning, Database Knowledge, Biomedical information, Information technologies in biomedicine, Signal processing, Science Editing, Biomedical Scientometrics, and Webometrics, History of Biomedical informatics. Evidence-based articles reflecting progress of Medical informatics in Balkan and Mediterranean countries are prioritized.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
