Aims & Scope

Annales UMCS Sectio A (Mathematica) features papers covering all areas of mathematics, especially complex analysis, differential equations, functional analysis, differential geometry and probability theory. It also publishes papers in applied mathematics providing they have a non-trivial mathematical content. All manuscripts submitted are subject to the procedure of preliminary qualification by the Editorial Board. After positive preliminary qualification, manuscripts are sent to independent reviewers. Special attention is paid to the lack of close relationships between the authors and reviewers. In particular the reviewers should not work in the same institution as any of the authors and they should not be coauthors of joint papers.Based on the evaluation of reviewers, the editors decide to: reject the manuscript, accept it for publication, or refer it to the author upon reviewers’ comments in order to improve the manuscript. If the improvements are substantial, the manuscript is sent again to the reviewers for the final evaluation. We use the single-blind peer review method, so during the whole reviewprocess identity of the reviewers is kept hidden from the authors.
