GFDQ is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research in the fields of Physical Geography, Glaciology, Geomorphology, and Quaternary Geology. It also publishes research in Earth-Surface Processes, Palaeoclimatology, Cryosphere and Climate Change, Soil Science, and Global environmental change. The journal publishes original research articles, geomorphological and other thematic maps, data papers, review papers, short communications, news and book reviews. Special content includes annual reports on Italian glaciers, official transactions of the Italian Glaciological Committee, newsletters of the International Association of Geomorphologists, and special issues collecting papers on specific themes, proceedings of meetings or symposia, regional studies, and field guides.
