L'Homme (France)
Editions de l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales · France · Est. 1961
Aims & Scope
L’Homme welcomes the multiple currents of anthropological research understood in the broadest sense, without neglecting the interdisciplinary approach. With international reach, the journal publishes original works by French and foreign researchers. It combines theoretical texts, critical essays, and ethnographic studies, with the aim of apprehending the distant as well as the near, accounting for new objects, re-evaluating classic fields of anthropology such as kinship or ethnomusicology, and presenting new methods for investigating social and cultural facts. The "About" section offers a space for debates and exchanges of ideas; the book reviews section gives ample space to reasoned reviews of recent works.
