Aims & Scope

The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» contains scientific and technical information on refrigeration engineering and energy, namely: coverage of issues in the field of refrigeration and cryogenic engineering, refrigeration and related technologies, environmental protection methods through the use of thermal energy processes and artificial cooling systems, engineering methods for improving and automating traditional systems and new renewable energy systems. The scientific and production publication «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» was founded in 1965 and is included in category "B" of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine, in which the results of dissertation works for the degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences may be published (according to the Procedure for forming the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 15, 2018 No. 32) according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 11.07.2019 No. 975 «On approval of the decisions of the attestation board of the ministry regarding the activities of specialized scientific councils dated April 23, 2019». Articles are accepted for publication in the cluster Safe, clean energy and energy efficiency: G3 Electrical Engineering, G4 Energy Production (by specialization), G11 Mechanical Engineering (by specialization). By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 918 dated August 18, 2021, Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies was reorganized into Odesa National Technological University. The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» is registered by the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting. Decision of the council No. 1549, protocol No. 15 dated 09.05.2024 (Media ID: R30-04054) The founder of the publication is Odesa National Technological University. Main provisions The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» has been published since 1965. Initially, it was published as a periodic collection of works of the Odesa Institute of Food and Refrigeration Industry, and since 1994 - as a republican journal with a frequency of 6 issues per year. Today, the journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» is published by Odesa National Technological University of Technologies together with the Ukrainian branch of the International Academy of Refrigeration. In 1999, the journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» received the right from the HAC of Ukraine to publish scientific materials that present the main results of dissertation works in a number of scientific areas of refrigeration engineering and technology and energy, and in 2014 the journal was re-registered (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated July 4, 2014 No. 793, appendix No. 8). The journal is registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine Series. KB №25377-153117ПР dated 26.12.2022. Information on changes in journal frequency information The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» is a scientific and technical publication in which articles on theoretical, experimental, production and applied problems of the above-mentioned areas are published, and has the following sections: «Refrigeration Engineering», «Energy and Energy Saving», «Refrigeration and Related Technologies», «Automation, Computer and Telecommunication Technologies». The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» is published in A4 format with a volume of up to 120 pages in black and white with a print resolution of 300x400 dpi. The placement of color and grayscale black-and-white photographs with a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi is allowed only in exceptional cases, in small volumes and under special conditions. The journal «Refrigeration Engineering and Technology» is sent to the HAC of Ukraine, the Book Chamber of Ukraine, major scientific libraries and printing control bodies according to the official list, as well as to a number of educational and scientific institutions, enterprises, firms, editorial offices in Ukraine, in nearby and far abroad countries, is distributed at scientific conferences, symposia, seminars and exhibitions. The business model of the journal “Refrigeration Engineering and Technology” is based on sponsorship. One of the sponsors is the "Union of Young Scientists of ONTU". Third-cycle higher education students, funded by the state, are exempt from any fees (contributions) for processing, reviewing and/or publishing articles written by them alone (without co-authors). There is no publication fee. All publications are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin (current version). Thematic sections: refrigeration engineering, energy and energy saving, refrigeration and related technologies, automation, computer and telecommunication technologies.
