Aims & Scope
Živa Antika (“ Living Antiquity ”) is a peer-reviewed academic journal open to original research in all areas of Classical Studies and Antiquity broadly conceived: Greek and Latin language and literature, philosophy, mythology and religion, ancient history and archaeology, art, architecture, and material culture, from the beginnings of classical civilisation to the sixth century AD, as well as later receptions and influences of the classical world. We particularly encourage contributions focusing on the ancient peoples and tribes of the Balkans, their history, art, and culture, as well as their interactions with the classical Greco-Roman world. Finally, we publish epigraphic, numismatic, and archaeological studies that make a significant contribution to the philological and historical study of the periods and regions covered by Živa Antika.
