Aims & Scope
The journal is focused on the history and culture of Latin America, as well as the relations between the Western world and Latin America. It publishes scholarly studies, articles, primary sources, and reports on conferences or reviews of both books and cultural events. All published texts are original. Scholarly articles and short studies are subject to peer review. Emphasis is placed on primary research. The journal publishes texts of diverse methodological and thematic focus (history, literary studies, linguistics, ethnology, political science, art history, translatology, etc.), as well as primary sources related to Ibero-American issues. It is intended primarily for the scholarly community. Texts are published in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The aim of the journal is to deepen awareness of Ibero-American studies as a field, to profile it and to serve as a disciplinary communication platform for polemics and discussions, while increasing awareness of events in Latin America and international relations with this region, thus contributing to a deeper understanding of this area, its history and culture.
