Aims & Scope

Metalurgija is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original scientific papers, review papers, and professional papers in the fields of fundamental, applied, and developmental research in metallurgy, as well as in closely related disciplines such as materials science, physics, chemistry, and mechanical engineering. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers. The journal covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to: Ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy Physical metallurgy and materials science Process metallurgy, metal forming, and joining techniques Thermomechanical processing and heat treatment Surface engineering, coatings, and corrosion protection Recycling and environmental aspects of metallurgy Advanced and emerging metallic materials Modelling, simulation, and process optimization in metallurgical engineering. Metalurgija serves as a platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to disseminate innovative findings, exchange knowledge, and promote technological advancement in metallurgy and related fields. The journal welcomes high-quality contributions that present novel experimental results, theoretical developments, or practical applications, with an emphasis on scientific rigor and industrial relevance.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
