Aims & Scope
The journal Al Awamia has been a means of disseminating scientific information both nationally and internationally since its creation in 1961. The last issue of this journal under the title Al Awamia is 127. After stopping momentary of publication, the journal is relaunched at the beginning of 2020 under the title "African and Mediterranean Agricultural Journal - Al Awamia" with reference to the African continent and the Mediterranean basin and to the history of this journal by recalling the old name Al Awamia. It is a quarterly journal, free of charge (no article processing fees or submission charges), published in hybrid mode as open access and paper format. AfriMed Agricultural Journal - Al Awamia is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing, in English, high-quality and novel research articles, reviews / mini-reviews, short communications, letters and special issues in all fields of agricultural science with a focus on Mediterranean and African areas. It is a multidisciplinary journal that deals with large array of topics including agronomy and agricultural machinery, plant and animal genetics and genomics, agricultural biotechnology, plant protection, soil and environmental sciences, irrigation, livestock farming systems and animal production (including reproduction, nutrition and feed quality), pasture science, agricultural economics and rural sociology, agro-ecology and climate change, food processing, organic farming and agricultural policies. The objective of the AfriMed Agricultural Journal - Al Awamia is to contribute to the dissemination of research results for a sustainable development of agriculture on the African continent and in the Mediterranean basin by offering national and international researchers a publication support. This journal also offers decision-makers, professionals and researchers the opportunity to access research work likely to inform and guide their decisions and to rationalize their practices.
