ASJU publishes original works on Basque linguistics and philology written in Basque or in one of the languages common in international scientific communities, as well as those that, although attached to different or broader fields, may be of interest for Basque studies. Two issues are published annually. ASJU also has a book series called ASJU's Supplements, where works longer than article format are published without a specific deadline. The journal was first published online in 2011.
