Literatura y Linguistica
Universidad Catolica Silva Henriquez · Chile
Aims & Scope
Literatura y Lingüística (LyL) is a semiannual publication that appears in May and October of each year, dependent on the Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez, and in which original academic articles by researchers in both Spanish and English are published, evaluated by two blind specialist peers. The works disseminated here promote the review and opening of new relevant problems around literary and linguistic phenomena. LyL is a scientific journal that publishes original works from the areas of literature and linguistics originating from its authors' research, whether at the doctoral, postdoctoral, or research project level with internal or external funding (FONDECYT and others). Additionally, reviews are published. Regarding articles, those in Literature must be linked to cultural issues affecting Hispano-American, Chican, Caribbean, Insular, and Brazilian letters. The purposes of these works must be to promote new knowledge and updated proposals about the different topics affecting literary studies. Along with the above, in LyL we publish works that connect with other areas, such as articles related to aesthetics, cinema, performance, gender studies, the press, and dramaturgy. The Linguistics articles that this journal is interested in highlighting, for its part, are those that promote new knowledge within this area and that, through their approach and argumentation, question, update, deepen, or readjust the assumptions currently in use in the different branches of this discipline.
