Aims & Scope

La Revista de Estudios Latinoamericanos sobre Reducción del Riesgo de Desastres REDER (ISSN: 0719-8477) es una publicación científica semestral que se especializa en estudios teóricos y prácticos originales en el área de los riesgos de desastres, abordando para ello las diversas etapas de la gestión del riesgo y los procesos socio-ambientales relacionados: respuesta, rehabilitación, reconstrucción, recuperación, prevención, mitigación, preparación y alerta. Del mismo modo, la revista busca reflexionar sobre aspectos relevantes tales como la identificación y evaluación de los factores subyacentes del riesgo, los impactos del desarrollo económico, la debilidad de la gobernanza, aspectos de vulnerabilidad y resiliencia de las comunidades, rol de la sociedad civil, género, crisis, comunicación del riesgo, sociología de los desastres, impactos de la variabilidad y cambio climático, entre otros tantos temas que hoy en día se requieren investigar para avanzar teorías, metodologías y prácticas que apoyen el avance disciplinario en esta temática y la reducción del riesgo de desastres.
