Aims & Scope
Cuestiones Políticas publishes original and unpublished works that have not been submitted simultaneously to other journals. The journal accepts submissions year-round. Works must align with the journal's thematic orientation and norms. Manuscripts should not exceed twenty-five (25) pages, written in Times New Roman, size twelve (12) font, double-spaced, with specific margins. The title should be explanatory and concise (max eight words). Abstracts (max 200 words) must include objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions, with five keywords. Titles, abstracts, and keywords should be provided in both Spanish and English. Author names and affiliations (including institutional details and emails) are required. The main body should follow an introduction, development, and conclusions structure, with subsections identified by subtitles. Footnotes should be used sparingly for additional explanations. Citations follow an author-year system (e.g., Contreras Portillo, 2005), with specific formats for textual citations, multiple authors, continuous/isolated pages, same-author/same-year works, jurisprudences, normative texts, and internet sources. Long textual citations (>40 words) should be in a separate block. Cited-by citations should be used only when necessary. Bibliographical references must be listed alphabetically at the end, following Harvard system norms, with specific formatting for books, book chapters, journal articles, and newspaper articles. References for jurisprudences and normative texts have specific formats. Internet references require author, year, title, URL, and consultation date. Works with multiple authors from the same year are ordered alphabetically by title. Submissions require an original and three anonymized copies, plus a CD with the work in Word format. A cover letter requesting publication and stating the work is not under review elsewhere is mandatory, signed by all authors with contact details. Works are reviewed by an editorial committee and a peer-review committee based on criteria like manuscript identification, title relevance, topic importance, originality, methodology, clarity, abstract quality, and bibliography. Authors are informed of decisions; modifications may be requested within a specified timeframe. The journal is not obligated to explain rejections or provide referee reports due to their confidential nature.
