Aims & Scope
Journal of Tropical Soils (JTS) is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of soil science, with a particular emphasis on soils of tropical regions. The journal publishes original research articles that contribute significantly to the understanding, management, and sustainable use of soils in these climates—regions that play a critical role in global food security, biodiversity, and climate regulation. The journal welcomes contributions across a wide spectrum of soil science disciplines, including but not limited to: Soil physics and soil conservation; Soil mineralogy; Soil chemistry and soil fertility; Soil biochemistry; Soil genesis and classification; Soil survey and land evaluation; Land development Environmental management; and related subjects in which using soil from tropical areas. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates soil science with agronomy, ecology, environmental science, and land use planning in tropical and subtropical settings. Manuscripts that offer innovative methodologies, comparative studies, or regionally impactful case studies are of special interest. Journal of Tropical Soils (JTS) aims to serve as a global platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers committed to understanding and managing tropical soils for sustainable development.
