Aims & Scope

An-Nida' is an international journal that provides a forum for scholarly discourse on Islamic thought in the Malay World and the social aspects of Muslim communities in Indonesia. By encouraging diverse contributions from various academic traditions and perspectives, the journal aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas on a global scale and to advance knowledge production by engaging scholars worldwide. An-Nida’ publishes original articles addressing issues in Islamic Thought and the social aspects of Muslim communities, particularly in Indonesia and other Muslim-majority countries. The journal embraces diverse theoretical and practical approaches, aiming to present original research and explore current topics within the field. It welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers across various disciplines, including Muslim theology and philosophy, Islam and gender issues, study tafsir and hadith, Islam and contemporary issues, Islam and culture, Islam and human rights, mysticism (tasawwuf), education, communication and propagation (da'wah), and Islamic politics.
