Physiological Research (online ISSN 1802-9973) is a peer-reviewed Open Access journal published bimonthly online by Institute of Physiology, Czech Academy of Sciences. It publishes articles on normal and pathological physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, and pharmacology. For more, visitJournal Aims and Scope Articles are available in full versions as pdf files beginning with volume 40, 1991. We are proud to share exciting news about our journal�s recent progress. Thanks to the dedication of our reviewers and contributors, Physiological Research has achieved a new milestone, reaching our latest Impact Factor of 2.8 and successfully securing a firm position in the Q2 quartile: The Impact Factor of Physiological Research was 2.0 (June 2025).Its current value is 2.8 June 18, 2026. Authors submitting their articles should follow the new form of References. More inInstruction for Authors. Since March 1, 2026, all papers accepted for publication will be charged as follows:
