About the Journal Focus and Scope The Journal of Business Strategies is a multidisciplinary journal published by the Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development at Sam Houston State University. The Journal has been published semiannually (in the Spring and Fall) since its inception in 1984. The objective of the Journal is to attract quality articles grounded in theoretical frameworks, empirical research, and/or practical experience. Case studies presented in the context of a theoretical framework are also published in the JBS. It is our vision to position the Journal as a relevant publication appealing to both practitioners and academicians within the business community. ISSN: 0887-2058 Publication Frequency The Journal of Business Strategies uses a "publish-as-you-go" scheme. Accepted articles are added to the current issue as soon as the production is completed. Peer Review Process All manuscripts must be original submissions that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration at any other journal. The acceptance criteria for all articles are the quality of the research and its significance to our readership. All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The editor will first review all manuscripts for content and suitability to the journal. Authors whose manuscripts do not pass the initial screening will be notified immediately so they can submit elsewhere. Manuscripts that pass the editor's initial screening will then be sent to peer review by subject-matter experts. A manuscript can be accepted for publication only after positive recommendation by peer reviewers, and after any potential required revisions have been made.
