Aims & Scope

The Journal of Computational Neuroscience is a leading cross‑disciplinary platform for research at the intersection of computational, theoretical, mathematical, and experimental neuroscience. We publish original research articles, rapid communications, software papers, perspectives and reviews that  advance understanding of:  How neural systems process information How the brain and nervous system function Mechanisms underlying neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders How machine learning algorithms provide new insights into brain function and neurological disorders How neuromodulation techniques change brain activity  and might restore healthy function Papers combining theoretical and experimental work are especially encouraged.
