Aims & Scope
Knowledge Organization (KO) publishes original research articles that: (1) clarify theoretical foundations (general ordering theory, philosophical foundations of knowledge and its artifacts, theoretical bases of classification, data analysis and reduction); (2) describe practical operations associated with indexing and classification, as well as applications of classification systems and thesauri, manual and machine indexing; (3) trace the history of knowledge organization; (4) discuss questions of education and training in classification; and (5) problems of terminology in general and with respect to special fields. KO publishes original research articles, concept reviews, book reviews, editorials, conference reports, letters to the editor, and biographical notes.
