Aims & Scope
Carsologica Sinicawas founded in 1982 and has been the only public academic journal in the field of karst in China. It is supervised by Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (CAGS), sponsored by, the Institute of Karst Geology, CAGS, and co-sponsored by The International Research Center on Karst under the Auspices of UNESCO, Committee of Karst Geology and Committee of Speleology, Geological Society of China. The journal is a bimonthly publication. Carsologica Sinicais aimed at publishing papers on themes of resources and environment, and presenting new achievements, new understanding and new methods of scientific and technological studies on karst. The Journal’s mission is to advocate academic contention, and enrich and improve research methods of karst geology with the purpose of promoting social and economic construction. HenceCarsologica Sinicawill be transformed into “an important window for overseas understanding of China’s karst research and an authoritative forum for domestic academic exchanges in this field”. Carsologica Sinicaincludes coverage ofbasic theories on karst,hydrological and engineering geology, environmental geology and ecological geology, tourism geology, etc. It mainly attracts the readership interested in fields of karst geology, geography, hydrology and hydropower, architecture, agriculture, forestry, tourism and environmental science.
