Aims & Scope

Numerical Algorithms journal offers high quality papers on all aspects of numerical algorithms used in numerical analysis. The journal's scope includes new algorithms with discussion on their theoretical results, implementation, and properties. It also includes improvements and new results on known algorithms. The algorithms have to be clearly presented and detailed. Numerical results have to be included. Coverage also extends to arithmetic, complexity, parallel computing, approximation and interpolation, numerical integration and differentiation, numerical linear algebra, differential equations, nonlinear equations, control, and optimization. Articles presenting new methods only based on numerical results and without any theoretical justification, and also those applying known techniques to a specific problem cannot be considered for publication.

Frequently asked questions about Numerical Algorithms

Is Numerical Algorithms a predatory journal?

PubScope has no integrity flags on record for Numerical Algorithms: it is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and is not on DOAJ's withdrawn list. Its PubScope Trust Score is 90/100. Indexing is a transparency signal, not a guarantee β€” always confirm fit and policies before submitting.

What is the impact factor of Numerical Algorithms?

Numerical Algorithms is indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, so Clarivate publishes an official Journal Impact Factor for it (since the 2023 Journal Citation Reports, every Core Collection journal β€” including Arts & Humanities and Emerging Sources titles β€” receives one). PubScope links to Clarivate's official source rather than reprinting the number, which can be out of date. Its open 2-year mean citedness is 1.67.

Is Numerical Algorithms indexed in Scopus and Web of Science?

Numerical Algorithms is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus.
