Aims & Scope

The Open Access journal Arachnologische Mitteilungen / Arachnology Letters (subtitle) publishes scientific papers mainly about West Palaearctic arachnids (excluding papers solely on mites and ticks) in (British) English or German, after peer review. The main focus lies on the topics of taxonomy,faunistics and biogeography as well as ecology and arachnid conservation. German and English manuscripts are equally welcome.Data publicationis also welcome. There are no page charges (APCs or submission charges). The German title of the journal should be used in citations. Arachnology Letters is licensed under aCreative Commons 4.0 International License. All contributed articles are peer-reviewed. Manuscripts will be sent by one of the two editors to two reviewers. Authors are welcome to propose at least two potential reviewers. Articles in Diversa (obituaries, book reviews) are not usually, but may be peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editors. The author/s themselves are wholly responsible for the contents of the article. The publisher acceptsno responsibilityfor the correctness, accuracy or completeness of the article, or for taking into account the rights of third parties. The editors reserve the right to make changes as they see fit. Published are 2 volumes per year plus special issues (e.g. Check lists). All articles are searchable by authors and titlehere. Since volume 53 we do not send printed copies to members. The printing press Verlag Isensee offers to send printed copies to members by order. A copy costs (since volume 64) 18 Euro per volume (plus shipping). It is possible to subscribe to the print version and receive the 2 volumes per year for 32 Euro plus shipping.
