The IEEE Annals of the History of Computing publishes both technical and non-technical studies of the history of computing. The narratives presented in its articles and departments include scholarly analyses and accounts by computing professionals of research work, the activities of companies, and the many roles of computing in societies. Special issues are expected to have a strong thematic coherence in terms of topic focus but may contain a more diverse set of methodologies.
