All submissions to theJournal of Agricultural and Resource Economicsmust be submitted electronically. To ensure author anonymity,JAREaccepts submissions only in PDF format. Author and institutional identifications will be removed from PDF file submissions by the editorial team prior to being sent to reviewers. Receipt of manuscripts will be acknowledged by e-mail. Authors who submit manuscripts to theJournal of Agricultural and Resource Economicsmust JAREdoes not consider for publication case studies or research papers reporting the results of surveys or field trials unless such studies are essential for subsequent economic analysis addressing agricultural, resource, and development topics.JAREdoes not normally publish review articles that summarize the literature or other articles that do not contain original economic research. Please indicate in your cover letter that your research, if applicable, adheres to pertinent policies and regulations for data involving human subjects. Author(s) must document that they have received approval from all appropriate institutional oversight authorities, such as an Institutional Review Board (IRB).JAREwill not publish results involving deception of human subjects. The Editor may grant an exception if a well-documented justification is provided. There is no submission fee, but authors of accepted articles must pay page charges. Current page charges are $79/printed page for WAEA members and $89/printed page for non-members. Online supplemental appendices are charged at the rate of $10/page. JAREis an open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to any user or institution.
