Aims & Scope
The Egyptian Journal of Biological Pest Control (EJBPC) is a periodical scientific journal published by the Egyptian Society for Biological Control of Pests (ESBCP). The journal aims to publish internationally peer-reviewed, high-quality research articles in the field of biological and integrated pest control (non-chemical control). It welcomes review articles, original research papers, conference reports, book reviews, editorials, laboratory reports, technical notes, and short communications. The journal focuses on advancing knowledge in the following areas: Biological control using natural enemies including; predators, parasitoids, entomopathogenic nematodes, virus, bacteria and fungi. Classical biological control and augmentative releases of natural enemies: focusing on the introduction and enhancement of natural enemies to manage pests’ populations. Biocontrol of plant diseases and weeds: exploring biological control methods for managing plant diseases and invasive weeds. Interactions between insects and plants in agroecosystems, with an emphasis on the effects of climate change on pest management strategies. Molecular biology applications: utilizing molecular techniques to enhance the efficacy of biological control agents. Properties, modes of action, and application methods of biocontrol agents. Physiology and behavior of biocontrol agents and their interactions with hosts. Production, formulation, distribution, and release methods for natural enemies. The journal also encourages interdisciplinary studies with a global perspective on integrating of biological control into sustainable pest management systems. The journal does not accept papers that focus only on laboratory trials, investigations into the non-target effects of pesticides, or studies on arthropod pests that affect human health or domestic animals. Additionally, papers study the use of natural compounds (such as plant extracts or microbial products) for pest, pathogen, or weed management are not c
