Aims & Scope

About the Journal Aims and Scope Revista Ibérica was founded in 1996 under the auspices of AELFE, the European Association for Languages for Specific Purposes (Asociación Europea de Lenguas para Fines Específicos). Since then, it has published academic contributions from experts in linguistics, discourse studies, professional communication and language pedagogy, and has become one of the best known journals in the field. Since 2003 it has appeared regularly twice a year, with occasional special issues. Aimed at all those interested in new trends in specialized communication and languages for specific purposes, Ibérica publishes scholarly but appealing articles about all aspects of specialized languages, how they are used, and how they should be taught. Its Reviews section includes critical reviews of newly released publications. Although Ibérica is now published entirely in English, we accept articles about other languages and reviews of books published in other languages. All articles are accompanied by an abstract in Spanish. Ibérica also has a dedicated You Tube channel with video abstracts: https://www.youtube.com/@IbericaJournal The journal subjects all contributions received to a peer review process; see "Instructions for authors". Open Access policy Revista Ibérica provides open access to all published content to facilitate its dissemination and promote research, supporting the free exchange of knowledge. Anti-plagiarism Policy To ensure the originality of the manuscripts, the journal will use the Turnitin anti-plagiarism tool. Decisions regarding the similarity assessment criteria will be made at the discretion of the Editorial Committee. The check for possible plagiarism will be carried out before the peer review process begins. Writing and editing AI policy Authors may make occasional use of AI tools, for example, to aid in the search for bibliography or to improve the academic English used. When authors use generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in th
