Palimpsestes
La Lettre Volee · France · Est. 1987
Aims & Scope
Palimpsestes is a journal devoted to the study of theoretical and practical problems of translation, mainly in the English-French / French-English field. It welcomes articles of a purely theoretical nature as well as studies on the problems posed by the articulation between practice and theory that any translator faces. Each issue of Palimpsestes focuses on a specific issue in relation to existing theoretical frameworks and seeks to identify what can be theorized (at least generalized or given general value) from the study of specific texts accompanied by their translation. Palimpsestes is aimed at all those, researchers, students, translators, who are interested in translation, this fascinating operation of communication and recreation, from near or far. The journal does not accept articles outside the theme.
