Aims & Scope
Interdisciplinary and international in scope, the journal publishes scientific papers in the fields of anthropology, ethnomusicology, cultural studies, sociology, history and history of art, museography, or political sciences. It promotes both established and up-and-coming researchers, with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe – although not exclusively. As part of the intellectual vitality of the journal, it also features a Museology Section which engages with latest museum discourses in the region, a thriving Book Review Section which discusses outstanding books with a focus on the themes of each issues, and a Fieldnotes Section which hosts relevant research diaries. The journal excels in its visual layout which features high quality photography, illustrative for the bridge between arts and ethnography, – a feature which distinguishes the Romanian Peasant Museum from others in the region.
