Aims & Scope

The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty is a national-international, multidisciplinary, independent, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access, and online journal, and is the scientific publication organ of the Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. A continuous publication model policy is followed (year-round, by article number). The journal publishes original research, review articles, case reports, and letters to the editor in the fields of basic and clinical medical sciences that have not been published elsewhere or submitted for publication elsewhere. Articles submitted to the journal for evaluation are assessed by the Editorial Board, Advisory Board members, and Scientific Advisors, and those deemed suitable for publication are published. The publication policies of Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty comply with the guidelines established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The Journal of the Faculty of Medicine of Uludağ University is a supporter of the Budapest Open Access Initiative declaration. The journal's publication language is English . The Journal of the Uludağ University Medical Faculty has been published since 1975. It has been published as an online magazine since 2001. The Journal of Uludag University Medical Faculty of Medicine Journal has only accepted articles in Turkish since its publication date until the end of 2023. The journal was accepting articles in both Turkish and English starting in 2024. Starting in 2025, the journal's publication language has been English, and all articles have begun to be accepted in English. In 2026, a continuous publication model was adopted. For articles requiring an ethics committee decision, submissions must be made in accordance with the Ethical Principles and Publication Policy of our Journal. The Journal of the Faculty of Medicine at Uludağ University is included and indexed within the scope of ULAKBİM-TR Index. Starting in 2023, EBSCO® (Central & Eastern European Academic Source™) is being indexed. Additionally, it has been indexed by DOAJ since 2025. The Journal of Uludag University Faculty of Medicine assigns DOI numbers to articles accepted for publication. The Journal of Uludag University Medical Faculty of Medicine Journal requires that the ORCID identifiers of all authors included in articles submitted for evaluation be specified.
