Aims & Scope

USUL exists to join the rivers flowing towards the ummah, to make it flow more abundantly, and to facilitate it to finally reach its goal. The origin of usul is based on the idea that we need to look at the originals and the centuries from the point where we are and again. Here, "usul" has two meanings: The originals of religious knowledge and the methods of reaching the right knowledge. Therefore, the aim of USUL is to show, through the articles it publishes, both the foundations of Islamic knowledge and the methods and means by which these foundations can be reached. Usul Journal of Islamic Studies publishes previously unpublished articles in Turkish, Arabic and English in the field of theology; book, thesis, conference and symposium reviews and scientific interviews.
